ACG Gathering Schedule of Events

Ninth Annual Argus Collector's Group Gathering
(Tentative Schedule - subject to change)

FRIDAY May 14th, 2010
From 10am and throughout the day we will be gathering and setting up displays.
6:00 pm Get to know each other period and preperations for dinner.
6:30 pm Dinner (New Pizza Inn across from Hampton Inn)
8:00 pm - 9:30 Special Presentations:  Presenters to be announced
Finish out the evening with general bull session as long as needed.


SATURDAY May 15th, 2010
8:30-9:00 am Coffee and Doughnuts
9:00 am Special Presentation:  To be announced
10:15 am Three walking tours for Photo Ops and each begins five minutes from City Hall.
    --Walk along Historic Spray Canal to rock dam and head gates
    --Walk among small Spray historic business district to dam at end of canal and rock foundation for former textile mill
    --Walk along Smith River Greenway

SUBJECT TO RESPONSE—NEW SPOUSE ACTIVITY:
10:15am  OPPORTUNITY FOR SPOUSES to visit an open working pottery and a private tour of sales shop of another. Tour of arts/antiques district and lunch in downtown Reidsville. Big pottery show in area is a couple of weeks after our Gathering and the potters should have their stocks ready for the show.

12:00 pm Lunch on patio next to Spray Canal and powerhouse for photo op participants
    or along river in covered shelter depending on weather.
2:00 pm Return to Eden Municipal Building for Presentations:  To be announced
6:00 pm City Sponsored Reception at the River Overlook (Location depends on the weather)
7:15 pm Dinner and Awards Banquet at Wray Reception Center
    --Including display awards and contest judging/awards


SUNDAY May 16th, 2010
9:00 am Breakfast at Chaney's for anyone staying over.
