Replacing 50mm Cintar Lens

1. Remove either interchangeable lens as you did the Cintar Lens.

If your camera has separate Idler Gear and Idler Gear Cover: Set Rangefinder Dial (A) at infinity. Grasp Cintar Lens at Collar (H). Screw Lens into the camera turning to the right past resistance point until seated firmly. Turn Lens (K) to the left until first tooth is positioned to engage Idler Gear (B). Drop in Idler Gear (B). Rotate Rangefinder Dial (A) to 3 foot mark.

If your camera has Idler Gear and Idler Gear Cover attached together as a single unit: Set Rangefinder Dial (A) at 3 feet. Grasp Cintar Lens at Collar (H). Screw Lens into the camera turning to the right past resistance point until seated firmly. Turn Lens (K) to the left until last tooth is positioned to engage Idler Gear (B).

2. Screw on Idler Gear Cap or Idler Gear/Idler Gear Cap assembly(C).

Turn Rangefinder Dial (A) back to infinity. Make sure Ranqefinder Dial stops exactly at infinity mark. This is essential for proper focusing. If it does not stop right at infinity, note how many teeth it's off by, turn the Rangefinder Dial back to 3 feet so the Idler Gear Cover and Idler Gear can be removed again. Adjust the lens position by the number of teeth noted before and replace Idler Gear and Idler Gear Cap.

Camera is now ready for picture taking. Keep supplementary lenses in leather case for protection when not in use.
